Hi! Need a value estimate for an antique, collectible, heirloom, small estate, or collection?
Perhaps, I can help. My fees are reasonable. My turnaround is fast. And, my research is thorough.
I distinguish between an appraisal and a value estimate. An appraisal is prepared by someone with a certification issued by a professional organization.
A value estimate is prepared by someone like myself with many years of experience in buying and selling items, but not specifically in the appraisal business.
Which one, a value estimate or appraisal, do you need? If your purpose is to satisfy your curiosity, or help set an asking price, then a value estimate should do just fine.
However, if the report is required as part of a legal matter, then you should probably seek the assistance of a professional antique appraiser. You can search for the phrase, certified antique appraisers, for help in finding someone with the proper credentials.
Over the years, I have provided many written antiques and collectibles value estimates. And, I have a formal education in finance, investments, and appraisal. In fact, I successfully completed the educational and testing requirements to become a certified real estate appraiser, but did not pursue that career.
The finished value estimate can be on a written appraisal form (such as the one pictured above), which comes in a sturdy folder (pictured left). Or, in any other form that you prefer.
A simple value estimate (involving one or few items and requiring limited research) might be as low as $50 (minimum) to no more than $250 (maximum).
While, a complex estimate (involving many items and requiring many hours of research) would be quoted on an individual basis.
